Today, March 23, the wonderful adventure of the green teams from the European Green Schools Council (EGSC) project – 2025-1-RO01-KA220-SCH-000355528 began.

LTTA2 (Green Schools Summit) brought together students and teachers from Italy (host), Bulgaria, Portugal, Romania and Spain, marking the beginning of WP3 (Work Package 3 – Green Stories); In this work package, the knowledge gained in WP2 about the concept and activities of Green Schools will be applied; each partner has created a Creation and Theater Club and will try to express in an original, artistic form, their own vision of green schools.

The reception of the guests was followed by a beautiful opening ceremony: presentation of each team, exchange of flags and other small gifts, presentation of the program and objectives of this LTTA, artistic moments, ice-breaker games; emotions were intense, as it was the students’ first mobility, their first direct meeting;

Next, the host school was visited (I.C. Di Vittorio – Padre Pio, Cerignola), the students had the opportunity to observe the education system in Italy. The Capacciotti Dam and Reservoir were also visited (the school in Italy was responsible, in the EGSC Guide, for sustainable water consumption), on which occasion the students learned what the benefits of an artificial lake are in a region with a moisture deficit.

The end of the day was dedicated to investigating the city of Cerignola, through a treasure hunt, the students interacted with the local history and culture, but were challenged with several tasks in the field of ecological education. The division into mixed groups generated (we hope) a consolidation of group cohesion, the beginning of the formation of a large family: the European Green School Council!
